About
John M. Neill, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist who brings a wide range of expertise in cardiac care to his patients. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Illinois and went on to earn his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock where he became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Neill completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center. His fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology took him to Houston’s Methodist Hospital where he was trained in echocardiography, complex coronary, peripheral vascular, and structural heart interventions, as well as other advanced procedures.
Dr. Neill has participated in research to improve patient care and his findings have been reported in numerous medical journals. While a fellow at Methodist Hospital in Houston he earned the Clinical Research Excellence Award for meeting the highest standards of quality and impact. He has also presented at prominent medical conferences.
Dr. Neill is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and echocardiography, and he is a member of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. He has volunteered his time and talents to caring for patients at a free clinic in Lubbock and through hypertension awareness community events.
